About the Program
People Connect2Innovate is a unique 12-weeks (part-time) online program that brings together business, tech, and innovation leaders from Morocco and Israel. This initiative is designed for individuals who recognize and appreciate the importance of strengthening ties between the two countries. The program will take place in an intimate closed doors format.
The participation in the program includes a $250 commitment fee.

Who are we looking for? Fluent English-speaking executives who are curious and interested in the ties between Morocco and Israel, open to think outside the box to shape a better future.

What language is the program conducted in?
The program is conducted in English.
What nationalities are eligible to apply?
Applicants must be Moroccan or Israeli.
Is this program entirely online?
Yes, the program is entirely online, with an optional in-person delegation to Israel in its end.
How long is the program and when will it take place?
12 weeks, part-time, from November 2024 to February 2025.
The sessions will take place on Tuesdays between 3:00-5:30 PM MOR time
How is the program structured?
The program is conducted online, featuring a mix of lectures, workshops, networking sessions, and collaborative projects in bi-national teams. The program will culminate with an in-person delegation to Israel.
How interactive will the program be?
Although online, the program has been designed to be as interactive as possible. Seminars involve interactive discussions and break-out sessions with speakers. Workshops comprise team-based sessions in small groups. The team-based challenges component of the program also requires team meetings and interaction with each other. Participants are expected to take a pro-active role on the program.
What should I know about the final delegation to Israel?
The participation in the delegation is optional. If you join the delegation, the costs associated with your trip and accommodation will be covered by Start Up Nation Central. The delegation will offer additional content and visits curated by Start Up Nation Central, as well as a few days of an arranged touristic program.
How many people will participate in the program?
The program is intended to take place in a small and intimate format, to allow for meaningful connections and interpersonal interactions. There will be approximately 10 Moroccan participants and 10 Israeli participants.
Is there a cost associated with the program?
Yes, there is a $250 commitment fee for the program. The optional delegation to Israel is subsidized by Startup Nation Central, but participants may need to cover some expenses.
Is the program confidential?
We take confidentiality very seriously. To protect the privacy of participants, all participants and speakers in the program are required to sign NDA, and all information about the program and its participants is kept behind closed doors.
What will I gain from the program?
Participants can expect to develop a diverse network of peers and potential partners, gain deep insights into the synergies between Israel and Morocco, and lay the groundwork for collaborative projects that can continue beyond the program.
I am Moroccan but am not currently living in Morocco. Can I still apply?
Yes. However, you should be able to demonstrate how your current work connects to Morocco. The same applies to Israelis not currently living in Israel.
How will the teams be formed?
Candidates should apply as individuals. During the orientation process, in the first three weeks of the program, participants will select their team-mates through a series of workshops designed to help participants get to know one another. Each team will comprise 2 Israelis and 2 Moroccans. Guidelines will also be provided to help participants select their team-mate preferences.
Can I apply together with a colleague?
Yes, you can apply with a colleague. However, each candidate must submit a separate application, and applications will be assessed on their individual merit.
What is the time commitment for the program? Is it compatible to working in a full-time job?
While the program has been designed for professionals in full-time employment, applicants to the program should expect this to be an intensive program, if balancing it with full-time work.
Below are the expected time commitments to the program:
- Pre-program briefings will take place prior to the start of the program for Israeli and Moroccan participants. These will last 1 hour and the session times will be announced.
- Seminars and workshops will be on Tuesdays (5 November – 11 February) afternoons. Sessions will last 2.5 hours, between 3:00 – 5:30 PM MOR time / 1:00 – 3:30 PM ISR time.
- From Week 5 of the program, teams will need to find time to meet with their fellow team members each week to work on their team project.
What happens after the program ends?
While the formal program ends after 12 weeks, we encourage participants to maintain the connections they’ve made and continue pursuing their collaborative projects.
