In this Finder spotlight, we highlight female founder and co-founders - and the companies, funds, and accelerators that are leading the change and stand out in terms of their investment in female entrepreneurship.
This document isn't an exhaustive analysis of women's entrepreneurship in the Israeli ecosystem, but rather highlights entities whose actual activity surpasses the average of the local industry.
Women's Representation in Israeli Tech
Only 16% of active tech companies were founded or co-founded by women. The highest representation can be found in the Health Tech and Agrifood Tech sectors with 23% and 20% of active companies with women founders, respectively.
The rate has been growing over time but has shown little improvement in recent years, with 20.9% of companies launched in 2023 founded or co-founded by women (Figure 1).
33% of the Health Tech and Agrifood Tech companies that were founded since 2021 were founded or co-founded by women (Figure 2).
